Job Overview
The Summer Institute is hiring a Program Coordinator to support our mission to encourage, equip, and empower under-resourced students to become diligent scholars and faithful leaders in their communities. This role will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations across our programs, events, communications, and outreach efforts. We’re looking for a highly organized, creative, and relationship-centered individual who can manage multiple responsibilities with enthusiasm and professionalism. Responsibilities and Duties

​Program & Event Coordination

Schedule orientations, summer sessions, Fun Fridays, and other program activities.

Book venues, transportation, meals, and manage supplies.

Oversee student registration and attendance tracking.

Recruit, coordinate, and support volunteers.
Communications & Marketing

Maintain and update social media platforms and The Summer Institute’s website.

Capture and curate photos/videos for marketing.

Manage family and donor email communications.

Support community outreach and partnership efforts.
Fundraising & Board Support

Assist with annual campaigns (e.g., Fundraising February, Thankathon).

Track donor data and send acknowledgments.

Coordinate logistics for board meetings and retreats.

Assist with grant writing and donor engagement alongside the Executive Director.
Data Management & Admin

Maintain student records, program data, and reports.

Support daily operations and inventory management.

Respond to inquiries via phone and email.

Ensure accurate documentation in Google Drive and student management systems.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree OR 3+ years of related professional experience.

Passion for educational equity and working with youth from under-resourced communities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and social media tools.

Experience in event coordination, volunteer management, or nonprofit operations is a plus.

Familiarity with academic programs or STEM/STEAM initiatives preferred.

Self-starter with a collaborative, adaptable mindset.
