SUMMER PROGRAM

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
The six week, middle school summer enrichment program is the bread and butter of The Summer Institute. Students spend their mornings in an academic setting; learning applied math & science and reading and writing. Our Math and Science programming uses an "Inquiry Based Learning" model to encourage excitement about STEM learning and get our students to develop their own curiosities and and questions about the world around them. Our Reading and Writing program takes advantage of our position in the Museum District by infusing cultural excursions into students developing assessment and writing about the world around them.

In the afternoons, students benefit from a thematic wellness program that aims to inform their physical and spiritual development through play, discipleship groups and trips. The goal is to get their bodies moving, blood pumping and minds working towards being their best selves. Students end their day with executive functioning training and study hall.

Our program provides a student centered model of learning. We offer small class sizes of 16-18 students.  All students have access to iPads to enrich their learning experiences.
